Congratulations to Paintsville Elementary STEAM teacher Caitlin Salyer and Paintsville High School/Paintsville Elementary Music and Drama Director Cassie Hites, who are participating in the St. Louis Summer Immersion Program as part of the KEDC Renaissance Program.

Throughout the week, they are exploring the rich arts, culture, and history of St. Louis, Missouri, gaining new experiences and ideas to bring back to our classrooms. This immersive professional learning opportunity highlights the importance of creativity and lifelong learning.

We are proud to have these outstanding educators representing Paintsville Independent Schools and can’t wait to see how their experiences inspire our students during the upcoming school year!

Paintsville Independent English and Language Arts faculty met today to revise their Literacy Action Plan and Literacy Vision for the upcoming school year. During the session, teachers also collaborated with the Johnson County Public Library staff to develop exciting community partnerships and engaging classroom reading activities for our students.

We are grateful for this collaborative effort and look forward to seeing our plans come to life as we continue to inspire a love of reading and literacy throughout our schools and community. We can’t wait to see all that’s in store for our students this year!
