We’re proud to spotlight our STEAM teacher, Caitlin Salyer, for continuing to grow her knowledge and bring new learning opportunities back to our students! This week, Caitlin attended a KET workshop on Primary Sources at the beautiful Natural Bridge State Park. Through hands-on learning and collaboration with educators from across Kentucky, she explored ways to use historical documents, photographs, artifacts, and other primary sources to make learning more engaging and meaningful for students. We love seeing our teachers invest in professional learning that inspires critical thinking and real-world connections in the classroom. Thank you, Mrs. Salyer, for representing Paintsville Independent Schools and for your commitment to providing the very best learning experiences for our students! 💙💛 #PaintsvilleProud #STEAMEducation #ProfessionalLearning #LifelongLearners

📚🐾 Learning never stops at Paintsville High School—even for our four-legged friends!

This week, PHS History teacher Mr. Rory Bialecki and his adorable kitten, Sprite, are attending the American Battlefield Trust’s Virtual Teacher Symposium! 🇺🇸

The symposium provides educators with opportunities to deepen their knowledge of American history through sessions led by renowned historians and education experts. Participants explore new historical perspectives and learn innovative strategies to bring the stories of our nation’s past to life in the classroom.

We’re proud of Mr. Bialecki’s commitment to continuous professional learning and his dedication to providing Paintsville students with meaningful history instruction. We also have to admit that Sprite may be the cutest symposium attendee of them all! 🐱❤️

Please join us in thanking Mr. Bialecki for investing his time this summer to continue growing as an educator. Your love for history and lifelong learning makes a difference for our Tigers every day! 💙🐯

📚 Did You Know?

Many families think transition planning begins during a student's senior year of high school.

The truth is, some of the most important decisions are made years earlier.

Whether your child is entering 6th grade or preparing for graduation, it's never too early to begin planning for life after high school.

That's why we're excited to invite families to SPARK: Family, Career, and Transition Night—an evening dedicated to helping students and families prepare for the future.

You'll learn about:

✅ Postsecondary education options

✅ Employment and career pathways

✅ Independent living skills

✅ Community resources and adult services

✅ How families can support successful transitions

Our goal is simple: to help every student leave high school with a plan, confidence, and the supports they need to succeed.

We're also incredibly thankful for the support our community has shown. A special thank you to our first featured door prize sponsors:

🚗 Advance Auto Parts

🚙 Suds Car Wash

These businesses are helping make SPARK Transition Night even more memorable for our families.
